Gallagher continues growth plan with Woodbrook buy
OIM Underwriting, Arthur J. Gallagher International’s current MGA platform, has acquired all of the assets and business of Woodbrook Underwriting Agencies.
OIM said the acquisition, which is set to be completed in the coming weeks, was part of Arthur J. Gallagher International's aim to grow its underwriting platform.
The Woodbrook team operates under managing director Chris Blackwell and OIM said that combining the businesses would allow it to write larger and more diverse risks.
Post-completion, Mr Blackwell and his team will trade under the name Woodbrook Underwriting (a trading name of OIM) from its existing offices in Billericay and at Lloyd's
