Jelf focuses on boosting personal lines offering

Jelf has appointed Antony Summers as managing director of its personal lines business reporting directly to chief executive of insurance Phil Barton.

Mr Summers previously worked for Jelf Clarke Roxburgh for over 30 years  as sales director in the personal lines arena in addition to other roles.

The new role for the company was created after a strategic review which started in the middle of 2010. It looked at the proposition, market, and overall approach undertaken by brokers including differing administration styles and attitudes towards personal lines.

As a result of the review, Jelf said it was looking to align the business to bring in
