The founder and chairman of direct insurer Esure, Peter Wood, revealed that 2014 would be the earliest date that the company would launch an initial public offering.
Esure staff and business partners learnt of the timeframe at an event on 13 October organised to celebrate the firm's £185m management buyout earlier this year. The business was bought in February by Mr Wood with the backing of Tosca Penta Investments, a new private equity vehicle raised and managed by private equity firm Penta Capital.
