Ex HCC CEO hires former colleague as part of new venture

New broker-only MGA, Manchester Underwriting Management (MUM), has announced the appointment of Richard Webb as a director of the business.

Mr Webb has joined from HCC International where MUM chief executive Charles Manchester was CEO until 2008.

With financial backing from Amlin, MUM has been trading for four months after launching its initial professional indemnity offering. Mr Manchester said he hoped MUM's directors' and officers' product would be available by the end of the year.
