Comparison site to provide unique gadget cover service

Moneymaxim has launched what it claims is the first gadget insurance comparison service.

Mark Bower, Moneymaxim's managing director, said an affiliate scheme would soon be made available to brokers, which will enable them to access the service that covers a range of devices including mobile phones, laptops, iPads, iPods, MP3s, sat-navs and DVD players via their own websites.

The move comes after the website launched a similar service for car hire excess insurance earlier this year and Mr Bower said the firm was currently trialing a travel offering that it hoped to launch later in
