IFB meeting expected to move CUE plans forward

The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) is confident it will move a step closer to creating a Claims Underwriting Exchange (CUE) travel database following its latest member meeting.

The meeting, which is scheduled on 9 September, is due to be attended by major travel insurers including Fortis, Aviva, Axa, LV, Ace, Chartis, Mondial and Insureandgo along with claims management companies, representatives from the IFB and CUE database providers Insurance Database Services.

Glenn Marr, spokesman for the IFB, said he hoped the meeting would result in a clear plan of action to push the initiative forward as the desire was there and that there would be "enough ability in the room
