Hill Dickinson confirms Halliwells acquisition

Hill Dickinson has acquired Halliwells’ Liverpool and Sheffield operations.

The law firm's insurance practice in Manchester has been bought by Barlow Lyde and Gilbert.

The Hill Dickinson deal was completed on 20 July and will see over 19 partners, 41 fee earners and 29 support staff (89 in total), from Halliwells' Liverpool office absorbed into Hill Dickinson's St Paul's Square headquarters.

A team comprising a further 36 people will establish a Hill Dickinson law practice in Sheffield, which represents a new Yorkshire focus for the firm. In Sheffield, Hill Dickinson
