Hastings Direct in no rush to roll out branch network

Hastings Direct has denied speculation that its branch network plans have been shelved following continued delays to the project.

In May 2009, the company, which underwent a management buyout (MBO) in late 2008, unveiled plans to open a number of branches, starting with a pilot of three stores in the South East, which it said would open in the coming months.

However, so far, only one Hastings Local branch has opened in the ground floor of its headquarters located in Bexhill-on-Sea and details of any further openings have not been released.
