Emergency Budget 2010: IPT to rise
Chancellor George Osborne has announced that insurance premium tax (IPT) will rise from 5% to 6% while the higher rate of 17.5% will increase to 20%.
As part of the coalition Government's emergency Budget, the Chancellor has announced an increase in IPT, which will take effect from 4 January 2011.
