CCV snaps up broker

Run by brothers Kevin and Alan Oxley, Humbergrove and Humbergrove UK are located in Hemel Hempstead and Harpenden respectively. The businesses will be folded into CCV’s recently acquired broker Just Insurance, which is led by Rob Simpson and based in Hemel Hempstead. All staff will be retained as part of the deal.

CCV chief executive, Michael Rea, commented: “Kevin and Alan Oxley are experienced brokers with well run, established enterprises. After a collaborative process, we’re delighted to have constructed a deal with them which fits their vision for their respective businesses.”

Kevin Oxley added: “My brother and I are very pleased to have come to this arrangement with CCV. We have both put our hearts and souls (and our backs) into our businesses over the years, and we were keen to sell to an organisation which will be able to serve our clients well with first hand knowledge of the local area. We know Rob Simpson well. He joined the CCV Group in 2008 as the vendor of Insurancemeans and now heads up Just Insurance, which we’re going to be part of. So it is a ringing endorsement that this move is the right step for us too.”
