LV loses out to Fortis in charity deal

Fortis has been chosen over LV to become the insurance partner of the rebranded charity Age UK.

The charity was created from the merger in April 2009 of Age Concern, which partners with Fortis, and Help the Aged, which sells personal lines insurance policies underwritten by LV.

Fortis will handle all new business for the combined charity, while existing travel customers of Help the Aged and In Tune will transfer to Fortis on 1 July and motor and home business will be transferred during the first quarter of 2011.
