Bluefin completes first acquisition in planned consolidation surge

Stuart Reid has acquired the general insurance business of Peterborough based G M Towns & Partners.

G M Towns was established in 1973 and has around 1,200 mainly commercial clients for whom it places around £5m in annual premiums.

In a statement, Bluefin said all seventeen employees would be invited to remain with the broker and the operation would continue to be based at its current premises in Priestgate.
