RBSI to cut up to 2,000 jobs

Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance (RBSI) has announced it is to enter a staff consultation period which could affect up to 2,000 roles.

The staff consultation period, which will take place across the business over the next year, is to coincide with a site strategy in the hope of making more "efficient use of existing properties".

Of the current 16,000 employees, it has been proposed that 500 back office roles were likely to be offshored.
