Henderson raids Bluefin for director

Henderson Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of Gordon Brain as group broking director, based at the company’s Leeds head office.

Mr Brain joined Henderson from Bluefin’s Harrogate office, having put in a total of 26 years’ service – the first 24 of them with Smart and Cook before the company was absorbed by Axa in 2007 to become part of Bluefin.

Mr Brain: “I’ve known MD Joe Henderson for a long time and he had always said his door was open to me if I was interested in talking about a move.

“Then when I did get in touch there was an opportunity arising here, so the timing worked out really nicely.”
