Bespoke reports to highlight broker fire losses

Brokers could benefit from more detailed large fire loss data being collated by Risc Authority.

The authority, which launched its online database of fire losses exceeding £100,000 a year ago, released the first of its bespoke quarterly reports for Risc Authority members, detailing an individual insurer's own losses compared to the overall figures, at the end of March.

A spokesman for Risc Authority said that in the future it intended to use the information to produce a broker report, highlighting particular areas of fire risk and helping intermediaries advise their clients.
