Invicta following through on growth promise

Personal lines start-up Invicta Insurance Services has made its second acquisition since its launch by former Woodstock Insurance Brokers operations manager Steve Gamage.

Invicta, which is backed by Hero Insurance Services founder Paul Cosh, acquired Sevenoaks-based Lowe Insurance on 1 April.

The deal came hot on the heels of the company's official launch when it announced the acquisition of Ashford-based Williams Insurance Services.

Mr Gamage, managing director of Invicta, said the business was targeting £5m of premium this year, £10m next year and £25m by year three.

He said this would be achieved through a 50/50 split of organic growth and acquisitions, adding
