Bupa could cut up to 300 jobs

The health care insurer has warned that between 200 and 300 jobs may be in jeopardy.

A Bupa spokesman said: "Bupa Health and Wellbeing has 3,500 employees across the UK. We are consulting with around 900 of them about some proposed changes to the way we structure our business to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our customers and be an efficient, cost effective business in the long term. The changes will have no impact on the majority of employees.

"At this stage, we estimate that between 200 and 300 people may leave Bupa later this year. Some of these will be Staines
