QBE boosts Manchester office

QBE European Operations has appointed Simon Smith as property underwriter in its Manchester office.

Mr Smith joins QBE from Allied World Assurance Company in London where he gained experience in varied and complicated property risks in both the Lloyd’s and retail markets.

Increasing the Manchester team to 35, OBE said Mr Smith will work alongside commercial manager, Antony Broome, and senior property underwriter, Anna Spink, to give brokers and their clients in the region access to additional experience in the property insurance sector.
