Aon has been appointed broker for Nestle on a mixture of classes in what is reportedly a long-term deal, Insurance Age's sister title Reinsurance has learnt.

Nestle previously had a direct insurance relationship with Swiss insurance giant Zurich.

Aon's financial solutions team has also managed to keep the account of UK life insurance giant Prudential, market sources said.

A number of the teams staff- including chairman Mark Wood - left for rival Jardine Lloyd Thompson earlier this year.
