ABI predicts flood damage will top £100m
Insurers have received up to 1,000 claims so far
The Association of British Insurers (ABI) predicts that flood claims in Cumbria and Scotland could exceed £100m.
According to reports, the ABI said while it is too early to determine what the total cost will be, insurers have already received up to 1,000 claims.
Speaking to the BBC, Kelly Ostler-Coyle of the ABI said. "Events like this really do show the need for insurance and how much your life can be devastated if you don't have it in place.” She said that she didn't expect insurance premiums
