ABI's new director general unveiled

Kerrie Kelly to succeed Stephen Haddrill in February 2010

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has appointed Kerrie Kelly as its new director general.

Ms Kelly, who will take up the role in February 2010, is currently executive director and CEO of the Insurance Council of Australia.

She is a lawyer who has held senior executive positions in the private and public sectors with experience working in the fields of banking, finance and transport.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin
