Independence stressed as broker changes hands

Directors at Robinson Buckley Insurance Brokers have spoken of the importance of remaining independent following a change of ownership.

Founders of the Godalming-based brokers, Jim and Clare Robinson, together with investor Tony Buckley have sold their shareholdings in the business to existing directors.

Managing director, Graham Tomlinson, who joined the company 30 years ago, retained his share while director Alan Strudwick upped his stake and fellow directors John Lanning and Carol Aston
