Aviva prepares to take on the corporate commercial sector

Move follows appointment of Mark Hodges as UK chief executive

Aviva has stated its intention to take a larger bite of the corporate commercial sector with the launch of a new broker-based division, Corporate Risk Solutions.

In the past, Aviva has not concentrated on larger business, preferring to focus on the small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector. A source close to the issue said the insurer would now like to "punch its weight" in the corporate commercial sector.

The expansion into the commercial sector will commence in January 2010 and preparation

Applied updates on commercial push

Applied Systems has confirmed Arch Insurance is about to enter the pilot phase of onboarding and will be live on the Applied Epic broker management system in April, with Iprism and Ark to follow and more promised in 2024.
