'Crash for cash' gang jailed for a total of more than 11 years

Nineteen people have been sentenced to a total of more than 11 years after one of the biggest crash for cash investigations.

As reported on broking.co.uk, Mohammed Patel, 24, of Nottingham Drive, Bolton, the man at the heart of the scam, was sentenced four and a half years in jail at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.

The remaining defendants were sentenced during the two days that followed totalling the gang imprisonment to over 11 years.
