Insurers are missing a trick when it comes to aggregator pricing

Insurers are oblivious to the amount of money they are losing on aggregators as they compete against themselves and struggle to get to grips with the model, Swinton chairman Patrick Smith has claimed.

In an interview with Insurance Age the new British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) chairman said that the market in general was unable to price appropriately for business sourced from comparison sites and that insurers in particular were exposed.
