Household claims top expectations

Nine out of 10 (88%) policyholders are satisfied with the way insurers handle household claims, according to new research.

The survey from General Insurance Market Research within Aura (GIMRA), which focused on 13 household insurers, also found that 90% had their expectations for final settlement met or exceeded.

Tim Kitson, senior research executive, financial services at Harris Interactive, which conducted the research, said it was the highest level of customer satisfaction since the survey

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
