CBG reports fall in broking revenue and profit

Overall profit before tax down by £730, 000

CBG Group's half yearly results for its broking division have revealed a slump in operating profit to £847,000 from £1.17m in the same period last year, while revenue dipped to £3.7m (H1 2008: £4.2m).

The group announced an overall falling profit before tax of £171, 000 (H1 2008: £930,000), while the total revenue also dropped from £5.66m to £4.86m in the same period.

Earnings before interest, taxes and depreciation also crashed to £831,000 for 2009 from £1,430,000 in the first half of 2008.
