Broker advice instils confidence but persuasive skills are lacking

The majority of small to medium-sized enterprises (SME) are confident in the broker advice they receive but brokers could do more to provide them with the necessary cover, according to a survey commissioned by insurer QBE.

The QBE Business Sentiment Survey found that although 72% of SMEs had no plans to cut their level of insurance and 85% trusted their broker, half of them would be prepared to look elsewhere for a cheaper quote. Of more concern was the finding that only 29% of respondents
