A recent High Court case relating to extended warranty servicecontract schemes has found that defendants London General Holdings, AonWarranty Group and Aon Warranty Services unlawfully infringed copyrightand breach of confidentiality obligations. Judge Weeks QC said they hadinfringed the copyright of claimants USP Strategies and Unicorn Strategiesby unlawfully copying an important scheme document. In addition, thedisclosure of the document to a third party constituted a breach ofconfidence.
