The British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has made a surprise addition to its ranks by welcoming aggregator Gocompare.com as a member.
The move followed months of lobbying by Biba for more effective regulation of comparison sites.
Eric Galbraith, chief executive at Biba, said: "Gocompare.com is leading comparison sites by providing consumers with clear information on policies."
