Oxford-based Thamescity Insurance Brokers has been acquired by Markerstudy Group. The business, which has 61 staff, was started in 1964 by Eric Ward. With a gross written premium (GWP) of £15m, the broker has brought the groups' distribution arm to just under £50m GWP. It was Markerstudy's 11th acquisition.
