More than half of the public prefer to buy insurance online rather than through a call centre, a new internet insurer has claimed. The research findings were revealed by swiftcover.com at its launch, where it said it was unique as the only completely online insurer, without call centres. The ICM research also showed 81% of people who have bought products online found it easier than dealing with a call centre; 80% of consumers find dealing with a call centre frustrating and seven out of 10 people
