Insurers were reported to be facing an 80-fold increase in fees for police removal of damaged vehicles, after the Home Office confirmed that it was planning a shake up following an earlier consultation. It was argued by a spokesman from Norwich Union that the proposal was very different from what had been discussed with the Home Office. He described it as "a very big issue right now".
