Hastings Direct and Equity Direct have revealed that, subject to consultation, they will be closing two of their five contact centres, one in Manchester and one in Leicester. During the next 12 months, the two call centres will be progressively scaled down, with the bulk of the work migrating to the Bexhill call centre. It has been estimated that the combined closures will result in about 300 job losses.
