Bank's regional broker boost

Fifteen regional brokers look set to benefit from Royal Bank of Scotland's (RBS) plans to set up a new commercial broking operation in October targeting its business banking customers.

RBS, including Nat West Bank, is the largest provider of finance to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK with 2,270 branches.

The new Bristol-based company, to be called RBS Insurance Brokers, will provide commercial insurance for RBS group retail bank small and medium sized-enterprise customers
