Anger over uninsured driving delay

The government has stalled the fight against uninsured driving by failing to implement an enforcement agency in time, despite a four-year campaign by the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba).

Biba, which made the accusation, has been lobbying the government to establish the long-awaited Continuous Insurance Enforcement (CIE) process, which would see official vehicle registers and the motor insurance database (MID) join forces to catch uninsured drivers.
