Smaller businesses exposed to legal action

Nearly two-thirds of smaller businesses are leaving themselves exposed to legal action from their employees, despite the number of employment tribunals increasing by 15% last year, according to figures by Hiscox. The annual Hiscox Barometer has revealed that 62% of firms were failing to protect themselves against possible employee legal action, even though one-third were concerned that they could become a victim of the UK's growing 'compensation culture'.
