IIB director-general sparks debate over future of FSA

The director-general of the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) has called on the Treasury to consider a major restructuring of the Financial Services Authority (FSA) across all sectors.

The appeal came as Andrew Paddick addressed an audience of insurers, brokers and interested parties at the IIB's annual reception at the Houses of Parliament. He proposed the creation of sub-boards of industry experts who could properly discuss regulation of the sector internally and report their conclusions
