Marsh has appointed its UK chief operating officer John Nicholson as chairman of its Scottish operations. John will have overall responsibility for Marsh's offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and will remain a director and a member of the company's audit and risk committees. He has worked for Marsh for 10 years in various senior management positions, and has been an insurance broker and risk adviser for more than 35 years. Meanwhile, Sarah Richmond has joined Marsh as a risk consultant
