The Financial Services Authority issued disciplinary proceedings against a broker after it failed to pass tens of thousands of pounds worth of premiums onto insurers. Primary General Insurance instigated winding up proceedings against Chorley- based Ideal Insurance Services, after its account with the insurer went £41,700 into the red. Following a visit to the premises on 8 April, the regulator found other intermediary accounts were also in arrears, and payments were overdue to three other
