Best invest has acquired Amilcroft, a long established Kent based insurance broker. Amilcroft specialises in the corporate market and also operates a marine division - it is a similar size to Bestinvest's existing subsidiary, Lovat Insurance Brokers. Following the acquisition the two businesses will be merged and will operate from London and Amilcroft's offices in Tunbridge Wells. Robert Elkins, founder of Amilcroft will continue to be actively involved and has been appointed a director of Lovat
