A broker has criticised a leading UK directory for sending letters out to brokers demanding more money for entries, after a restructure of the publication.

Richard Gillingham, MD of R M Gillingham & Son, said: "I guess we cannot blame advertising journals for trying to squeeze more income from insurance brokers and intermediaries. By writing immediately after Christmas and the New Year perhaps Thomson's assume the real motive behind their 'major enhancements to directly benefit your businesses'
