Towergate Financial lands new CEO
Towergate Financial has appointed Ian Darby as chief executive from the 31 October 2008.
Mr Darby spent sixteen years at John Charcol, the leading mortgage broking brand, from 1984 to 2000. Following the buyout from Bradford & Bingley in 2004 he returned to become chairman of the independent group between 2005 and 2007.
Commenting on the appointment, Patrick Snowball, chairman of Towergate Financial said: "I am delighted that Mr Darby has agreed to join Towergate Financial as chief executive, he will be a welcome addition to our team. His extensive IFA, regulatory and marketing
