Pets underinsured according to new report

Many pet insurance policyholders could find themselves with inadequate levels of cover or unexpected excess payments if they need to claim on their policies, according to a new report.

The research by Defaqto identifies three areas where policyholders are potentially at risk: having less cover than they thought; paying more than anticipated in terms of excess payments when claims are made; and paying over the odds for a level of cover available more cheaply elsewhere.
