Beddis picks up BW Cooper
Birmingham-based Insurance broker Beddis & Partners has acquired Wolverhampton-based BW Cooper (Insurance Brokers).
As of 3 February 2004 BW Cooper principal Barry Cooper and two of his senior staff will transfer to Beddis & Partners' Birmingham city-centre offices along with a book of predominantly commercial lines business worth around £3.5m in premium income.Beddis & Partners chief executive officer Peter Beddis said: "We have been talking with BW Cooper since the middle part of 2003, and I am delighted to confirm that we have reached an agreement, in conjunction with our legal advisers Gateley Wareing
