Aon and Fortis secure five year Post Office travel insurance deal

The Post Office, the second largest provider of travel insurance in the UK, has signed a further five year contract with global insurance broker Aon to continue managing its award winning travel insurance scheme.

The selection of Aon followed a rigorous tender process. Aon said it had demonstrated its continuing high service standard achieved over recent years, which secured two travel industry awards in 2006 and 2007 and produces record sales conversion rates.

A team of 120 in Leicester handles and processes travel insurance transactions from Post Office counters, online and through its call centre. Aon is working in partnership with leading general insurer Fortis, which both underwrites the insurance
