Snowball relinquishes Towergate non executive role

Towergate has announced that Patrick Snowball has decided to step down from the Board of Towergate Partnership (“TPL”). However, he will remain chairman of Towergate Financial Services (“TFS”) where he will also retain a shareholding ( Snowball explains his reasons )

Since joining Towergate in May 2007, Mr Snowball has focused on building TFS and assembling a high quality, experienced management team.

According to the firm he remains firmly committed to building its financial services business under the Towergate brand, with plans to acquire and consolidate IFA companies across the UK. TFS will continue with its planned recruitment of a chief executive to join Mr Snowball in leading the TFS proposition.

Broking profits fall at Saga

Underlying profit before tax in Saga’s insurance broking arm fell to £39.8m for the year ended 31 January 2024, compared with £71.5m in the previous period.
