Determined to win

As an increasing number of insurers clamour to get a grip on their distribution and force some kind of growth by setting up direct channels - and even buying brokerages - it is rather refreshing to find that there is at least one insurer that is taking a calm, measured approach to growing its business.

Brit Insurance made a very public commitment to the regional broking market in 2002 but there was initially some scepticism as to whether a Lloyd's insurer would truly understand the regional
