Market moves: All change at the top

Following the pattern set by last month’s Market moves, it was the insurer side of the industry that saw the most activity over the past few weeks. Axa, subject of the Market focus this month, saw one high profile change, alongside some departures as several employees left for other companies. Covéa, ERS and Rural all made appointments, with a few regional roles thrown into the mix. On the broker side of things, Bluefin was the only regular to make an appearance on these pages while most of the market’s activity was confined to the upper echelons as several firms appointed new managers.

Brokers

On the broker side of things Bluefin had quite a busy month, with its new Milton Keynes branch director appointee flying in from the Southern Hemisphere. Craig Sherwood took on the role, joining from Oamps Insurance in Sydney.

Bluefin also welcomed Ian Parker as a business development executive for its health and care team. Not the CEO of ERS, this Parker was previously at Towergate Patrick where he focused on the care home and domiciliary care sectors.
