With the deadline for Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) looming large - it is due to be implemented from 1 November 2007 - it would seem that many financial organisations, such as those in the insurance sector, are lagging behind in terms of preparing themselves for adherence to this directive.

MiFID is the biggest change to impact on investment firms since the Investment Services Directive (ISD) of 1993 and it will undoubtedly present some major challenges and opportunities
